Thanks for posting that great video!

We've invested over 100 billion dollars a year for over six years now in that unnecessary war in Iraq. Could you imagine what we could have done if we had invested that money in energy independence (new nuclear power plants, high speed rail, carbon neutral synfuel production).

I agree. The Iraq War has been a tremendous waste of resources. We now face the critical task of rebuilding our nation's infrastructure and industrial capacity after years of neglect.

Back in the 90's, most of our leaders bought into the notion that the "machine age" was over and manufacturing was no longer a relevant part of our economy. The reality is that manufacturing can be very high tech and is an essential part of a viable national economy.

Energy independence and saving our industries are essential. We must build additional nuclear power plants and I am encouraged by the Obama Administration's proposals regarding high speed rail.
