A poster at US Liberal Politics forum at About.com wrote the attached commentary I pasted below. Your two blogs made the list he wrote up of blogs that are dangerous. yes, dangerous. You are a part of a fascist movement that is called populism.

Crazy, much? He must be.

If populists are a threat, we must be doing something right. Since he listed you, you are powerful enough for him to think you need to be trounced upon. So you are doing something right!

Populism is raising its ugly head in America. Robert Reich says it lurks just below the political surface, ready to explode if Obama's 'solutions' to the economic crisis are not successful. The populist movements of the 1930s developed into fascism.

I have predicted a long-wave economic crisis in American corporate-capitalism for many years. Along with other radicals, I have also warned that the economic crisis would give rise to a new surge of populism and fascisms, including in the U.S. Reich now sees similar writing on the wall..

But Reich needs to study history. Fascist-like populists in the U.S. have always mainly arisen out of the DEMOCRATIC Party, not the Republican Party.

Huey Long, George C. Wallace, and Lydon Johnson were all populist Democrats, for example. The coming American populist Leader, too, will arise out of the Democratic Party.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and the interesting post that you forwarded. I am used to getting criticism from across the political spectrum. Right Democrat alone cannot possibly change the country's direction but many bloggers with a similar message could have a real impact. I am encouraged by your excellent blog Democratic Populist coming into existence. We need populists to rise up and make their voices heard. Keep up the good work.
